BYLAWS
Bylaws are internal documents drafted by the nonprofit and explains how the nonprofit is operated on a day to day basis. Bylaws are important for maintaining structure within the nonprofit, and every business is require to have such internal document. The name varies state to state [ bylaws, operating agreement, charter agreement, etc], but all internal documents have similar information such as:
- Name of corporation
- meeting structures
- number of directors
- special committees
- corporate seal
- execution of documents
- dissolution
- stock/member certificates
- officers of the corporation
- certification
- signatures
Below is a sample copy of how your bylaws would look. This is just a guide you can use, remember the bylaws are how you run your operation.
